Overview

Seasons of Your Life is committed to your privacy. This tool processes your Spotify data entirely in your browser. We never see, collect, or store your listening history.

Data Processing

When you upload your Spotify extended streaming history ZIP file, it is processed entirely using JavaScript in your web browser. The data is:

  • Read and parsed locally using the JSZip library
  • Analyzed and converted into statistics in your browser's memory
  • Stored temporarily in your browser's IndexedDB for the current session
  • Never transmitted to any server, API, or third party

Data We Store

Browser local storage

Era definitions you create (era names and date ranges) are saved in your browser's local storage so they persist between visits. This data stays on your device and is not sent anywhere.

Browser IndexedDB

Your processed listening statistics are temporarily stored in IndexedDB so you can navigate between pages without re-uploading. This data stays on your device.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

  • Your Spotify listening history
  • Your personal information
  • Analytics or tracking data
  • Cookies for tracking purposes

Third-Party Services

  • Vercel — Hosts the static website. Standard web server logs may record page requests (IP address, user agent). No user listening data is transmitted to Vercel.
  • Google Fonts — Font files are loaded from Google's CDN. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

Seasons of Your Life is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date.
